Please note the following:

1. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag.

2. For your paper to be included in the proceedings, at least one of the
   authors needs to send in a completed registration form along with
   payment of registration fees.  This must accompany the final manuscript.

3. Regular papers will have 8 pages, and short papers will have 5 pages
   in the proceedings. Upto two additional pages may be purchased at US$100
   per page (authors located in India may pay the equivalent amount in Indian
   currency).

4. The camera ready manuscript is due August 31.
   This year the proceeings will be published by Springer Verlag.
   Instructions for preparing the camera ready manuscripts have been placed
   at the HiPC website http://www.hipc.org/hipc99/
   The author kit will NOT be mailed separately.

5. The camera ready paper, copyright form, extra page charges(if any) should be
   sent to the Proceedings Chair

program chair or general cochairs.

6. Please let me know if none of the authors of this paper are able to
   attend the conference so that the slot alloted to the paper may be given
   to one of the several qualified papers we have been unable to accomodate.
   I would like to get a reponse regarding this by July 15.

7. December is peak season for travel to India.  It becomes extremely
   difficult to get airline reservations as well as local accomodations for
   travel to India during this period.  So, please make your reservations
   early.

8. Updated information regarding the conference can be obtained from the

9. A hard copy of the Advance Program will be mailed to you.  An electronic
   version will also be available at the above URL.
