Dear _CONTACT_PERSON_, Thank you for your submission to HiPC 2003. We are pleased to inform you that your paper entitled, _PAPER_TITLE_, has been accepted as a full paper for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. Submitted papers went through a rigorous reviewing process, and competition was very stiff this year. Of the 180 papers submitted, less than 27% of the papers were accepted for presentation. Each paper was reviewed by at least three program committee members and was discussed at the on-line program committee meeting. Please carefully take into account the enclosed comments by the reviewers when preparing your camera-ready version. Failure to do so may result in your paper not being included in the final program. Your camera-ready paper is due on August 15, 2003. Full papers are limited to 10 pages, but you can purchase up to two additional pages at a cost of $100 per page. To submit your final paper, visit the HiPC 2003 submission site at http://www.cs.gsu.edu/hipc, and follow the paper preparation and formatting instructions found there for final uploading. It is also mandatory that at least one of the co-authors register for the conference before or at the time that the camera-ready paper is uploaded. You are, therefore, requested to visit the www.hipc.org site and click under the "Registration" link to register for the conference by August 15th as well. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT! If at least one of the co-authors is not registered by this date, your paper will not be included in the conference proceedings, and it risks being rejected for presentation at the conference as well. In summary, please keep in mind the following very important items: 1. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag. Be mindful that 10 pages under this format is much less than 10 pages under IEEE format. 2. For your paper to be included in the proceedings, at least one of the authors needs to send in a completed registration form along with payment of registration fees. This must accompany the final manuscript. 3. Papers will have 10 pages in the proceedings. Up to two additional pages may be purchased at USD 100 per page (authors located in India may pay the equivalent amount in Indian currency). 4. Each paper will have 24 minutes of presentation time. This includes 20 min. for presentation and four minutes for Q&A. An overhead projector and a data projector will be available in each session. 5. The camera ready manuscript is due August 15. Instructions for preparing and uploading the camera ready manuscripts have been placed at the HiPC publications site http://www.cs.gsu.edu/hipc/ The author kit will NOT be mailed separately and no hardcopies of final papers should be sent. Everything will be done electronically. 6. The copyright form, extra page charges(if any) should be sent to the Proceedings Chair Sushil K. Prasad HiPC’03 Proceedings Chair The Department of Computer Science, Georgia State University P.O. Box 4110 Atlanta, GA 30302-4110, U.S.A. Any questions should be directed to hipc@cs.gsu.edu or matskp@panther.gsu.edu. Please DO NOT send your manuscript, copyright form or page charge check to the program chair or general co-chairs. 7. December is peak season for travel to India. It becomes extremely difficult to get airline reservations as well as local accomodations for travel to India during this period. So, please make your reservations early. 8. Updated information regarding the conference can be obtained from the web using the URL: http://www.hipc.org/hipc2003. There will be no hard copy of the Advance Program. An electronic version will be available at the above URL by August 1, 2003. Congratulations once again on having your paper accepted. We look forward to seeing you in Hyderabad, an emerging center for Information Technology in India. Sincerely, Timothy M. Pinkston, HiPC 2003 Program Chair
