  Instructions and Checklist for Authors

The proceedings of HiPC 2009 will be published in hardcopy and USB flashdrive format and will appear in the IEEE Xplore digital library.  Please contact the HiPC 2009 Proceedings Chair, Sushil K. Prasad (sprasad [at] gsu.edu) for any questions.

The new IEEE Xplore requirements for PDF will be enforced. All conference articles submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification for compatibility.

HiPC 2009 has registered for use of IEEE PDF eXpress. IEEE PDF eXpress is a free service to IEEE conferences, allowing their authors to make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs (Conversion function) or to check PDFs that authors have made themselves for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF Check function). The IEEE PDF eXpress site contains extensive instructions, resources, helpful hints, and access to technical support. New authors are advised to perform trial runs through PDF eXpress in advance of the deadline, as this process can be time consuming (see details below).

Deadline for all of the following items, including copyright form, author registration and excess page charges is August 31, 2009.

The camera-ready version of your paper should not be submitted on EDAS.

The following steps must be taken to properly submit your paper to HiPC 2009.

    1. Copyright Form
Submit signed ecopyright form at the HiPC 2009 ecopyright form submission site.

IMPORTANT: Papers without a submitted copyright form will not be published.

    2. Registration Fee
For your paper to be included in the conference proceedings, it is mandatory that at least one of the co-authors is registered by the submission deadline (see the registration form for details).

    3. Excess Page Charges

You may buy up to two (2) additional pages in the proceedings for your paper at a cost of US $150 per page. Please note that these charges are in addition to conference registration and may be paid at the same time you register (see the registration form for details). Participants currently residing in India may pay in Indian Rupees, except when payment is made by credit card.
