Information for India-based Participants

Who Should Use This Page

If you are a researcher from an Indian government R&D organization or a faculty member or student from an Indian institution, you are eligible to register for HiPC 2010 at reduced fees made possible through sponsorships from India-based industries and organizations.

If you are from an India based company and not eligible for the reduced fees, you should use the general form available here or you may register online from that page. See that page for full details on registration at regular fees.

How to Register

Note that online registration is not available to participants registering at reduced fees. To register at the reduced fees, see information that follows on this page and use the downloadable pdf registration form. Note that the form provides all of the information available at this page and specific instructions for paying fees and mailing your registration form and payment.

Registration Deadlines

17 August One author of an accepted paper must register by 17 August to allow paper to be included in the proceedings.
16 November Advance registration fees apply until 16 November. After that date, Regular, Onsite fees apply.
1 December Written requests for refunds must be received no later than December 1st. See the hard copy registration form.

Registration at reduced rates is made possible for faculty and students from India-based institutions and for researchers from Indian government R&D institutions through sponsorships from India-based industries and organizations. Details are provided in following tables.

Travel Scholarships for Students in India

A limited number of student travel scholarships will be awarded competitively (with priority given to authors of accepted papers). Students in Indian universities and educational institutes are encouraged to apply. For details, visit the Student Scholarships page.

Registration Fees Include

  • Attendance at all HiPC 2010 workshops and tutorials
  • Attendance at all technical sessions on December 20, 21, and 22
  • Breakfast, lunch and refreshments on all four days
  • Conference banquet and cultural event (if scheduled)
  • An electronic copy of proceedings
  • Excess Page Charges

    If your paper is accepted for the HiPC conference, you may buy up to two (2) additional pages in the proceedings for your paper at a cost of USD 150/ INR 6,750 per page. Please note that these charges are in addition to conference registration. Participants currently residing in India may pay in Indian Rupees, except when payment is made by credit card.
